Selamectin and Sarolaner Drops Product Description
Composition: Selamectin and Sarolaner
Appearance: Colorless to yellow transparent liquid.
Pharmacological effect:
Pharmacodynamics: Selamectin is a semi-synthetic compound of avermectins, which can make parasite neurons long-lasting superpolar by activating and/or enhancing glutamate-mediated chloride channel (GluCl) in invertebrates changes, disrupting its normal neurotransmission, resulting in paralysis, death or expulsion of the worm.
Sarolaner is an isoxazoline compound, mainly by blocking the γ-aminobutyric acid-mediated chloride ion channel (GABACl) in the central nervous system of insects and acarids, so as to prevent the influx of chloride ions, and nerve stimulation triggers nerve excitation increase, resulting in the death of the parasite.
Selamectin and Sarolaner have different mechanisms of action on GluCl and GABACl respectively, but the two will not interfere pharmacologically, selamectin exerts a functional blocking effect, and sarollana exerts a channel activity blocking effect , and synergistically destroy the nerve and muscle tissue functions of invertebrates, making the anthelmintic activity enhanced. Therefore, this product has a broad-spectrum anthelmintic effect, and can prevent and control internal and external parasites in cats.
Pharmacokinetics: The mean bioavailability of selamectin and Sarolaner are 40.5% and 57.9%, respectively, and can be distributed systemically. Selamectin and Sarolaner have long half-lives in cats, 12.5 days and 41.5 days, respectively. In cats, selamectin is mainly eliminated in the feces as the original form, and salolana is mainly eliminated in the unchanged form through the bile and feces.
Indication:
Ø For the treatment and prevention of cat flea infection, auxiliary treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas;
Ø Treating tick, ear mite, and lice infestation in cats;
Ø Treat feline roundworm and hookworm infections;
Ø Prevent feline heartworm disease.
Usage and dosage:
Cats 8 weeks of age and above, weighing 1.25kg and above.
Calculated by Selamectin and Sarolaner. External application: one dose, per 1kg of body weight, for cats, 6mg of selamectin and 1mg of sarolaner, administered once a month.

Adverse reactions:
